Wonders at Woodend: Forest Bathing through the Seasons (Guided Walk — Audubon Naturalist Society)

March 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EST

$30 – $42

Due to the weather, this walk, originally planned for February 20, will now take place on March 6th at 10:00am.
The registration is now filled – waitlist only.

Savor the natural joys of each season on forest bathing walks led by Melanie Choukas-Bradley, a longtime ANS field trip leader and author of The Joy of Forest Bathing and Resilience: Connecting With Nature in a Time of Crisis. Discover the magic of shinrin-yoku, translated as “forest bathing,” a nature-oriented mindfulness practice that originated in Japan and has become popular all over the world.

Melanie Choukas-Bradley is a local naturalist and author of several nature books, most recently, Resilience—Connecting with Nature in a Time of Crisis and Finding Solace at Theodore Roosevelt Island. On December 10, she was a guest on The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU, DC’s NPR affiliate, discussing spending time outdoors in DC during the pandemic in winter. Listen here.
