Forest Bathing in Your Own Wild Home (online talk — Aspen Center for Environmental Studies)

February 18 @ 8:00 pm EST

Free

Connecting with nature mindfully in your own backyard can bring beauty and wonder and a sense of calm into your every day life. Whether you live in the heart of the mountains or the heart of the city, learn how the practice of shinrin-yoku or forest bathing can bring comfort, joy and inspiration into your daily life.

Melanie Choukas-Bradley is a local naturalist and author of several nature books, most recently, Resilience—Connecting with Nature in a Time a Crisis and Finding Solace at Theodore Roosevelt Island. On December 10, she was a guest on The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU, DC’s NPR affiliate, discussing spending time outdoors in DC during the pandemic in winter. Listen here.
