On the eve of Arbor Day, naturalist and tree expert Melanie Choukas-Bradley presents an overview of the trees in our nation’s capital through stunning photographs of the Tidal Basin, U.S. Capitol, White House, National Arboretum, Rock Creek Park, and many other notable locations.

Melanie Choukas-Bradley is a local naturalist and author of several nature books, most recently, Resilience—Connecting with Nature in a Time of Crisis and Finding Solace at Theodore Roosevelt Island. On December 10, she was a guest on The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU, DC’s NPR affiliate, discussing spending time outdoors in DC during the pandemic in winter. Listen here.
